Links By George August 16

Spring has sprung here in the Aussie rain forest. And with the awakening flowers and snakes, here comes another issue of my newsletter/blog that hopefuly has some interest for everyone. This weekend is also the Woodstock edition in honoring the 40th year celebration. It was a wonderful moment in my life as my memory of the days I was there are full of inspiration, smiles and music.

Retreat center in Thailand
David Josef and his
lovely partner Nok. Both are very deep and loving people
and well versed inthe healing arts as well as David being a
natural intuitive.
His skills cover a mind boggling array of healing modalities
as well as a wonderfully artistic grip on Astrology,
Jungian psychology, mythology and perennial philosophy.
The esthetics of the center are very high and have a special
personal touch.
It is located in the Himalayan foothills in Northern Thailand
and I highly recommend it, if you are looking for a meaningful
and very private time way from the world.

By Democracy Now!
What we'll end up with is another patchwork piece of legislation,
allowing huge and expanded profits for the health insurance companies
and the drug companies, and continuing this pay-or-die system that
has plagued this country for decades, a system that takes 20,000 lives

Obama Sells Out To Pharmaceutical Companies
By Barbara O'Brien
In one more sign that the U.S. no longer is a functioning democracy,
the Obama Administration has struck a deal with Big Pharma: To win
its support for health care reform, the Administration has promised
that any reform legislation will ban the government from negotiating
lower drug prices. So Big Pharma can charge whatever it wants for
patented drugs. In return, the pharmaceuticals soon will begin a
$150 million advertising campaign on behalf of reform.
